Serving in South Asia

Lisa, her husband and three children are currently living in Brisbane after ten years serving with the team in Cambodia. With an unfading passion for missions, she is delighted to join the team in South Asia to lead our partner NGO.

In stepping into the role, Lisa shared, “I will never fill Morris’ shoes as Founder, but I hope to fashion a pair of CEO sandals that are more my size, keenly aware that it is going to take a huge team effort.”

As an experienced intercultural worker, Lisa’s approach is one of relational learner who not only loves the challenge of learning language and culture, but also enjoys working within a team in Australia and South Asia. Together, they are seeking to equip and empower the local B staff to build relationships that enable poor and marginalised people to overcome poverty by working together. Lisa shares, “I believe that it is in relationships of trust where real transformation occurs – these take time, commitment and a great team.”

Lisa loves the South Asia team’s commitment to sharing the good news of Jesus in word and deed in a way that powerfully connects with the local context. She writes, “I have seen that it is a unique and very effective work that is transforming lives from the inside out but in a way that strengthens communities rather than tearing them apart.”

Her role is based in Australia, with regular travel to South Asia. Lisa shares, “My challenge and joy is to support and encourage this growing local movement of Jesus followers as they bring life-changing transformation within their communities”.

Lisa is building a partnership team to support her financially and prayerfully. To connect with her, please contact the QLD State Office.

Through their day-to-day life, Jean-Claude and Joyce are engaging with people wholistically, responding to their spiritual and physical needs.

Jean-Claude and Joyce share a passionate love for God and people and desire to see the Yawo follow Jesus within their cultural context. They are building relationships with their Yawo neighbours and investing in their culture and language learning with a local language nurturer so they can effectively communicate with their Yawo friends.

They are grateful for the prayers and financial support they receive as they actively seek to build meaningful relationships amongst the Yawo and see communities transformed as they follow Jesus in ways that make sense to them.
