Mark Dickinson

For over 25 years Mark has supported intercultural team members, chairing a mission organisation board and serving on personnel committees.

Mark has worked with Baptist Mission Australia as a Wellbeing Advisor since 2022 and feels honoured that he is able to support team members as they process questions of life, faith and decision making.

His role includes pastoral support, counselling, supervision, psychological profiling, training and celebration.

Along with his wife Jane, Mark also continues to work in private practice with the Body of Christ. Together they aid addictions clinicians, pastors, intercultural and national workers and couples needing support in their marriages, specialising in the field of sexuality and sexual challenges.

Mark has run a range of intensive programs for addicts and their families, and through this he has learnt the value of debriefing. This has been especially important when working with intercultural team members and he feels privileged to be able to hear their stories and help them as they reflect on the grief that often accompanies transition.

Mark has found it a joy to meet individuals working in mission and help them decrease stress in their situations. He continues to be encouraged by the dedication of each person serving overseas for Baptist Mission Australia.
