Gunther has a background in accounting and Sarah is a qualified primary school teacher. Between 2004 – 2006 they worked for a commercial employer in Blantyre, Malawi and felt God calling them to eventually go back there to share the Gospel with the Yawo.
At the beginning of 2023 they began serving on the field in Malawi. They spend most of their time learning the local language and culture, while making new friends with the local people.
Life in Mangochi is exciting, vibrant and challenging – no two days are ever the same. Life in this small Malawian town is very different to life in Australia, where even the simplest of tasks can take a lot longer than you would expect!
Walking alongside their Yawo friends, in community, doing life together, is a real privilege for them. Gunther and Sarah are excited and passionate about seeing vibrant faith communities following Jesus in their own distinctive ways.
