They live in Kalkarindji and are learning from the Warlpiri people in the Tanami Desert. Relationships are the key to ministry in communities so each day and week look quite different, building strong relationships as opportunities arise. Leadership Training Camps and one-on-one discipleship are staples of their work.
In 2023 they moved to Kalkarindji, serving in Kalkarindji and Lajamanu, eight hours north of Yuendumu and five hours west of Katherine. They are looking forward to building on the foundations of cultural learning and expanding that with learning about the Gurindji language and culture.
Through living alongside First Nations people, learning from each other and growing in their obedience to God and His word, Mat and Shannon are passionate about seeing vibrant faith communities following Jesus in their own distinctive ways.
