Walk the World

Prayer event

Walk the World is an annual event that’s about getting out in our neighbourhoods to pray!

Each November, we pray for the local communities God has placed us in, and pray for the communities around the world our intercultural teams are placed in.

We’ve created these resources to give you information and guidance so you and your whole church are equipped to pray.

Join us for Walk the World!

Before the event - register!

You can register as an individual, church, small group or family.

(Registration is currently closed until the next event in November 2024)

After the event - Send us feedback!

We’d love to hear how you got involved. Your feedback is valued and will help us make improvements for next year’s event.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Walk the World for?

Walk the World is for everyone, of all abilities, ages and group size. Some resources will be targeted towards adults and others to children, families or youth.

What’s the ‘Walk’ Part?

Going for a walk is a great way to experience our local communities. It helps us get to know the area and our neighbours. Plus, it’s something that a lot of us already do! Walk the World is an invitation to intentionally pray for the world while you walk in your world.

But, of course, you don’t have to walk to get involved with Walk the World.

You can choose to get around your neighbourhood however you like. You could run, cycle, wheel, skateboard, push, drive, scoot, rollerblade or skip around your area. You could even virtually walk around via Google maps, video or your imagination!

Do I have to do it on 10-12 November?

If 10-12 November doesn’t work for you or your church’s calendar, that is ok! You can hold Walk the World whenever it works with you. The resources will remain available online and ready for you when you want them.

However, if you can Walk the World over 10-12 November, we encourage to get involved then. Knowing others around the country and world are praying for the world, and engaging with their community at the same time will spur us all on!
