Sally lives in Massangulo, a rural town in Northern Mozambique. As she continues to focus on understanding the cultures and language of those around her, Sally has been encouraged by the relationships grown and the acceptance shown to her within the community.
She is so thankful for the ways people have invited her into their lives and enjoys doing daily life with those around her; participating in community events, and being present in the grief, struggles, joys and fun. Sally and the team in Massangulo also work together to meet practical needs in the community by coming alongside individuals, families and community and government led projects.
Sally has a care for the spiritual, mental and physical health of those around her and enjoys being part of sports teams with those in the community and facilitating a regular youth program in Massangulo. She meets regularly with groups of women who come together to hear God’s truth through His word and pray.
Sally counts it as a privilege to get to see how God is shaping those around her and how He is teaching her more of who He is and what His love looks like in action here in Mozambique.
Through their day-to-day life, Jean-Claude and Joyce are engaging with people wholistically, responding to their spiritual and physical needs.
Jean-Claude and Joyce share a passionate love for God and people and desire to see the Yawo follow Jesus within their cultural context. They are building relationships with their Yawo neighbours and investing in their culture and language learning with a local language nurturer so they can effectively communicate with their Yawo friends.
They are grateful for the prayers and financial support they receive as they actively seek to build meaningful relationships amongst the Yawo and see communities transformed as they follow Jesus in ways that make sense to them.
