Team – Education Foundation: Stage 2

Ministry in South East Asia

Project code:
SEAwh601
Project goal:
(tax deductible)

13/7/23 – From all your incredible support, this project is now fully funded. Thank you! We are actively working on the best solution to transfer the funds from Australia to South East Asia for the building purchase. Your partnerships means that the team can now confidently plan ahead.

With costs fully covered for this year and next, we ask that you consider supporting the team’s cafe project.

Our team serves in this foundation to improve the standard of living for people in need. It also offers them a meaningful avenue to build authentic relationships with staff and students.

Training is focused on upgrading vocational skills in areas such as language acquisition and teaching, and practical life skills such as health care for the elderly, budgeting of income, and computer training. There are also environmental care programs and reading programs. These programs enable individuals and families to holistically improve their standard of living, benefiting their entire communities. The team is taking new opportunities to become more involved in local communities as the Education Foundation becomes known and trusted.

Your support will enable the Education Foundation to purchase a site for its main office and to continue to expand its programs.

The main office site will be used to run training programs, to train local staff, and to manage the other locations in which the foundation now operates.

The purchase of the main office site will eliminate annual rental and allow for further development and renovation. This will enhance the financial sustainability and institutional capacity of the foundation. Rental of other sites will enable training programs to operate in those sites.

It is Jan and Jit’s desire to see each person develop as an individual,
learn new skills and move towards their potential for interdependent
and independent living.

Through this work they seek to partner with churches to see the
Christian community develop a sense of responsibility towards those
in need in their communities.

This project covers the costs of running disability group activities
in rural areas, the purchase of specialised equipment to improve
quality of life and provide the needs of the team travelling and
empowering people with disabilities in this Thai/Myanmar border
area.

Through this project, you are directly supporting people with disabilities in rural Thailand to have a better opportunity at life through support, rehabilitation and hearing the Good News of Jesus.
