My Testing
When it comes to mission,
we take a long-range view.
That means a commitment to live as learners — investing time so you can deeply understand the words, ways and needs of the local people.
Our ministry partners
Asia Pacific Baptist Federation
We’re excited to collaborate in missional activities with Baptist sisters and brothers across the Asia Pacific region. As well as actively engaging in APBF networks, we co-sponsor the strategic Director of Mission role. This role is catalysing mission across the Asia-Pacific region and supporting the development of mission-focused leaders.
Bangladesh
Our ministry engagement in Bangladesh goes back to the 1880s and we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for. Today we’re supporting the training of a new generation of ministry leaders through our partnership with the College of Christian Theology Bangladesh (CCTB). More than 7000 students access training through CCTB’s multiple levels of theological education.
Baptist World Alliance
The Baptist World Alliance represents more than 51,000,000 followers of Jesus across the globe, with the vision of networking the Baptist family to impact the world for Christ. As well as actively engaging in BWA networks, we financially support evangelism initiatives in least-resourced Baptist conventions and are involved in mission research and partnership projects.
Cambodia
In Cambodia we’re partnering with Peace Bridges, an organisation Baptist Mission Australia team members helped establish in 2008, against the backdrop of the nation’s highly conflicted and violent history. Peace Bridges has a vision “to see all people in Cambodia living with peace, dignity and justice”. It establishes long-term community partnerships and has trained more than 4000 people in local communities, workplaces and churches to work towards ending destructive cycles of violence and fostering justice, equity and peace.

We participate in God’s mission, being prayerfully attentive to God’s leading.
We embrace lifelong learning, practicing humility and curiosity while encouraging formation and growth.
We build healthy teams, expressing a Biblical commitment to community.
We partner with others, cultivating mutually beneficial, Kingdom-oriented relationships.
We foster innovation, taking appropriate risks and encouraging creativity.
We stay the course, nurturing long-term relationships.
Why long-term?
“We have seen that mission – that bringing the Kingdom of God into the lives of those we serve – is most effective when we commit to the long haul. Danny
Long-term enables us to build sustainable and genuine relationships. It enables us to gain deep understanding of our local friend’s culture and worldviews, which in turn helps us present the good news of Jesus in a way that makes sense to them.”

Don’t throw away your envelopes.

Number of stamps in one kilogram.
Donated by this stamp ministry in 2020.
Your old stamps can raise money for Baptist Mission Australia
Save, trim and send us your old stamps.
We sort then sell them to local stamp dealers and collectors.
A kilogram of used stamps can raise up to $40!
If you can trim and sort the stamps before sending them in, it saves us a lot of work! Just cut the stamps off the envelope, leaving a 5mm border around the edge. Sort them by denomination for Australian stamps and by country for overseas stamps.
Drop off your used to our National Office in Melbourne, or your local Baptist Mission Australia State Office.
There is a team of volunteers operating in each state. They collect bags of stamps from different businesses and individuals. They work hard trimming the stamps and sorting them. The generous hard work of all our volunteers means that our operating costs are virtually nil and the huge profit can go to the work of Baptist Mission Australia. To get involved, contact your State Office.
Baptist Mission Australia has produced a series of state based Stamp Ministry posters with an editiable text box for you personalise with contact details and collect stamps on behalf of the state offices.
A4 colour posters for your church, community group or work noticeboard and A5 colour flyers to be handed out to your friends. Download these promotional materials for your Australian state here:
